Hi. My name is Michael Gilmer. I wasn’t always so good at this. In fact I first picked up PPC in 2003 because I was laid off from work. There I was sitting at home with a new house I had just bought with my wife and 2 small children. And more importantly ZERO money! The stress was agonizing. How was I going to feed my family? I kept looking for a job but nothing was out there. I had heard about this Google Adwords thing that had just come out, pay per click marketing. I had gotten tired of avoiding job layoffs. So, I picked up an ebook explaining how to use Google Adwords to drive traffic to affiliate offers. Affiliate offers are where companies pay you a commission to sell their products. Well, I used my credit card with an Adwords account I had setup. I started running a little traffic. Next thing you know I’ve spent $500 with ZERO sales. I didn’t have the money to be doing that?!? But, I also didn’t have any other choices either. Those bills weren’t going to pay themselves and I didn’t have enough money to cover them. So, I started looking at the campaigns I had run to figure out what went wrong. I made some changes and started them up again. BAM! I got a sale. Then, 2 sales, 3 sales, and more. They just kept coming. I had finally done it. Over the next couple of months I managed to make a cool $22,473! I was on my way! I couldn’t believe it. Over the next several years I managed accounts for clients, worked as an affiliate, as well as served as the marketing executive for a $20 million per year internet marketing firm.
Fast Forward To Now?
I’ve managed or consulted on nearly 1,000 Pay Per Click accounts for myself and clients (mainly clients). In the last 9 years I’ve managed about $14,350,000 spent on PPC by my clients. The profit that they made from my PPC management service was just over $35 million dollars. Not $35 million in gross revenue. But over $35 million in Pure Profit for my clients for which they gladly paid me very handsomely for.
